During my internship at the American Red Cross Social Services in 2011, the version of the disaster response brochures they were using was too long to read. Good design can help people find the important points as soon as possible when a disaster comes. My inspiration came from public signs; these simple icons convey information in an intuitive way. Yellow text highlights what is important, which makes it possible for people to find key points quickly during emergencies.
